but there isn't one! It's been driving me insane. I have searched my inbox several times and it won't go away. There is no new message. How can I fix this?

it also says that if someone wants to add you as their friend. When you click it, there should be a drop-down menu. Click on the one that has the "1" by it

It says it's a new private message...that's the line it has a 1 by.

Try logging into your account on a mobile browser or from a computer, checking PMs and notifications.

That was the only way I got it to go away for me.
