Have you found out the gender on one and not on another?

Was the surprise way better and worth the wait? Why or why not?

We have 2 girls and are toying with the idea of not finding out. Plus, I always doubt until I see it for myself it anyway.

we did not find out with DD and are toying with the idea of finding out with this baby.
but I think we will probably just not.

especially since it doesn't matter since I have all my baby stuff and bought it in greens and nature and wildlife. I wouldn't do any other theme for any gender regardless. I like the woodsy stuff we got.

but I think it might be harder to wait the second time around.

the waiting was great and the anticipation was wonderful with DD. Am very glad we waited until she was born.

and I would be freakin' skeptical anyways since I have a friend who was told boy last year and birthed a girl. I know it's all highly accurate these days, but there's still a percentage of wrong! and I know I would be one who got it.

if they told me I was having a boy, I don't know that there'd be any way to prepare for it differently. And if I have a girl, well.. I already had one

I found out with my first 2 and not my 3rd. I will be finding out what #4 is in 4 wks. I liked the surprise but we felt it was a boy and she was a girl, lol! I prefer to know to plan better and not need both gender clothing or a lot of neutral colors. I have a friend who didn't find out with all 4 of hers and just gets hand me downs for both genders and she enjoys it

we found out with scarlett and wanted this baby to be a surprise but my ultrasound tech accidentally told me and ruined the surprise and this is likely our last so i'll never know lol

I wanted a surprise all 4 times but someone bullied me into finding out. I was always disappointed. NOT in the baby or its gender, but in being made to find out when I really did not want to.

When SO and I have our own baby, he's going to protect me from all of that. We won't be finding out the gender and whoever doesn't like it can just stuff it.

SO's cousin just had a "surprise" baby and it was a delight! She said that if they ever have a third she will not be finding out and it was definitely worth the wait. She said hearing "it's a boy!" was exhilarating in the delivery room. Hearing her story made me more determined than ever to keep the next baby's gender a secret til birth.

we didn't find out with our 1st 2 and dedided to find out with this one. it was exciting knowing we are having a girl and getting all her girlie stuff ready, but if we ever have any more we wouldn't find out. it makes the birth soooo exciting and i love the anticipation of not knowing. we just thought we would try something different this time.

I WANTED to know with DS1. But always doubted because was not given a clear picture of his male part.

I toyed with the idea of not finding out, but DH really wanted to know, and my sister did too. She went with me at the ultrasound. She said she wanted to know, but swore she'd NEVER tell me if the tech only told her... but if she knew, *I* wanted to know!! Lol When I found out, I was dissapointed, not in the gender, but just that there was no hope left for that wonderful surprise.

We found out with our first (boy) and second (girl)...I actually wanted to be surprised with both of them, but DH talked me out of it. When I got pregnant with our third, I put my foot down about being surprised, and jokingly told DH "I don't care if you find out, but I do NOT want to know until baby is born". He took me seriously u/s tech angled the screen away from me during the "gender shot" and showed DH, then didn't print any pics that could show gender. DH took it as a challenge to not tell ANYONE during mywhole pregnancy because he knew somebody would slip up and tell me, and when baby was born, I was still surprised and he hadn't spilled the beans (much to his mother & my sisters' dismay). Was it worth the wait? Eh...to be honest, it wasn't this big "OH WOW!!" moment for me..maybe it was kinda overshadowed by the necessity for an emergency induction due to pre-e and the worry of baby being okay? I mean, it was cool. I want to do it again if we have another (and DH wants to find out again if we have another ), but it wasn't the crazy-awesome thing I imagined.

We didnt find out with the boys and I loved it. I was toying with the idea of finding out this time since we had two boys and really figured DH would want to know but nope he said right off he didn't want to know so we are having our third surprise. I am now very glad we didnt' find out.

I found out w/ Ds1 and didn't want to find out w/ Ds2 I liked the surprise for the second one.
