Ragababe flooding the market?
So, I bought ragababe for a while and diapered my son almost exclusively in them. I mostly bought new but towards the end I bought used (at above retail) because I could not get larger sizes for him as fast as he grew out of smaller sizes.
A month ago, you could not find ONE diaper on the market and when you did they were almost $60. Now, they are everywhere. Why the sudden market flood? Is there something I dont know about? It looks like everyone is selling theirs off. I sold off sizes that no longer fit, and much more due to our return to full time daycare. Does anyone know what's up? Just curious. |

I randomly heard total lack of quality. But I've never owned one. So I can't be trusted. Lol. Just heard that from a lady at the park who said she refused to cloth diaper after wasting money on them :/

Re: Ragababe flooding the market?
My DH won't let me buy more and I won't anymore. I've had one diaper for maybe 4 months and the soaker has completely torn off

Wow! I had no idea. I hadn't heard of those issues. I had mine for over a year and washed every two days. Mine looked practically brand new. I did have a front loader washer and always line dried them, never in the dryer.
My only pain point was the fact that once we grew out of mediums it took a month or more to get a single large diaper. To get a stash I would have had to wait 2 years total or pay above retail for used.

Re: Ragababe flooding the market?
Mine have held up great as well (including the ones I bought used). I personally think people have a false sense of security because Joy made a TON of Fireworks (I believe 400-500 per stocking) and almost everyone got one. Those were the easiest stockings EVER. They have a new cart system and people are incorrectly attributing that to how easy the stockings were. It will still be supply and demand regardless of the cart system. If 500 people are going after 200 diapers, you don't have a better chance because of a new cart, KWIM? The odds stay the same. I think the craze is starting to fizzle just a teensy bit and once they seem easier to get, many will lose interest. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out over the next few months.

I have a good bit of them and we've found that our rash problems are due to breathability so I'm getting rid of just about everything with PUL. Last month I actually listed a few large RBs on eBay that I had bought used and were well loved but we never used them as DD's not in that size yet. I just wanted to get a feel for how they would go before I decide to get rid of my EUC and NIP ones. I did an auction with a low starting point and a Buy It Now option below retail but they didn't sell

Re: Ragababe flooding the market?
There's just so many easier to get diapers I like better and I think others are beginning to realize that as well. For example, I'd rather spend 30 on an econonappis than a ragababe
