Prepping and stripping PFs
I've used the boiling + Dawn method. I can't open my washer in the middle of a cycle to check for bubbles. I've done 2 rinse and spin cycles and am doing a full wash now. They still smell like Dawn. Is that normal, or a sign that the detergent is not washing out?

I think it's normal. Dawn has a bit of a smell to it so I imagine it's like using a lightly scented detergent.
