considering a shift - pt wohm to ft wohm - with DH being home more

I've never been a SAHM but i have only ever worked part-time - I'm a nurse and work 3-8 12 hr shifts a month, mostly nights - DH works straight evening

Dh has recently been battling depression/anxiety and has recently begum therapy - his therapist feels his job is contributing to his anxiety/depression and has suggested he considering changing - problem is this would mean a large pay decrease - he has been with his current employer since HS
IN order for him to make a similar amount he would need education....we can't seem to work out how we could swing that

so now the consideration is me working FT wich would mean 14 12 hr shift in 4 week span - 2 weeks days then 2 weeks nights

I'm freaking out

I don't want things to change for my kids like; the type/quality of food they eat (dh doesn't really "cook"), the amount/type of acitvites my kids do, tv time, daycare, homeschooling etc etc.

DH seems to think its no biggie

How do I handle this? tips? advice?

I think that it will be hard in the begining and you may have to let some things go until everyone gets use to the new schedule. good luck.

My DH and I work opposite shifts and while he doesnt' do everything like I do and i have learned over the last 5 years of this schedule that it is okay. the boys are fed, dressed, off to daycare and Mondays' they get a whole day of dad to themselves.

Good luck.
