Re: Where do you send your kids for school???

Public. We live in a great district, with amazing teachers. My DD starts 1st grade in a week, and has only 11 kids in her class. My oldest is going into 5th, and gets a special math class, because he is above grade level (should be starting 8th grade math this year). The school and teachers consistently go above and beyond for my kids. I wouldn't send them anywhere else.

Public. While we live in a "low economic status" district, the elementary school we are districted for is AWESOME and known for it in the "low economic status" district. We love it and the teachers/staff are AMAZING.

We homeschool. Our district is awful. We did have kids in PS from k-5 but that was the last of it. As long as we stay here our kids will be homeschooled.

Public schools. We want out kids to grow up with diversity. We want them to learn about other cultures, religions, way of life, thinking, etc.

We live in a great district, but we made sure when we purchased our house.

Re: Where do you send your kids for school???

One of the main reasons we live where we do is because of the school district. I'm (when I'm not a SAHM) a public school teacher (urban/inner city/high needs) and my kids go to public school (suburban, high achievement - similar stats to what Kristen posted).

I answered homeschool, but I could answer private school too. We plan on being private school at home.

I think she'll do just fine in public school!

Same here. Our public school was awesome! It was way overcrowded, but they made it work out, and I was very happy with it. We moved when my dd was in 7th grade to a "good district", but it didn't even come close to being as good as our old district.

Homeschool. Our reasons have nothing to do with how good/bad the school system is here. It is good, but probably not as good as the one I grew up in.
