Favorite non-leaking sippy cup?

Time to buy new cups for ds and looking for ones that won't leak!! Obviously we haven't had good experiences with ours I'd like to find one with a soft spout but maybe those are the leaky ones as that's all I've tried. Tell me which is your favorite please!

Avents are good and can't be chewed open. however, they do hold a bit of liquid in the spout and that can drip out.

My favorites were nuby, but those are easy to chew open. so if your DS is a chewer go with the avent ones.

Re: Favorite non-leaking sippy cup?

My all-time favorite (of the MANY we have used in the past 3 1/2 years) are PLAYTEX. I wish I hadn't gotten rid of any of them! We have used Avent, Playtex, Nuby, Munchkin, Gerber, Parents Choice, Evenflo.. and maybe others?

The Playtex have NEVER leaked, and they do make a soft spout one now.
The Avent are a close second... we have not had any trouble with them, but I just prefer Playtex...

Nuby - our boys bit holes in
Parents Choice and Evenflo leaked

Gerber were the WORST in my experience.... any time the sippy cup was dropped (whether forcefully or accidentally), the valve fell out and liquid went everywhere! The valves fall out WAY too easily.

We've had some Munchkin cups for quite a while (probably about 3 years) and the valves are just starting to fall out of those... honestly they probably just need to be replaced since I don't remember EVER having replaced them!

But I would avoid Gerber!

I second the Playtex. I asked about what to get that DD couldn't dump all over herself and the carseat, and this was the unanimous recommendation. They work extremely well. I got the large insulated kind, so she gets to have cold water all day when we're out and about. No more sopping wet carseat cover, no more wet baby in cold weather.

I've also noticed that the snap on type lids that we have (nuby and first years) tend to pop off when dropped, and I've even seen the cups split open when they hit the floor. Huge mess. I wish I'd tried the playtex instead of going the cheap route to begin with.

Gerber are my favorite. I used to have a whole stash of Playtex ones, but I hated that valve and they drip. I had a whole cupful leak out into my couch cushions! I sold all of my Playtex and bought all Gerber when I realized that the Gerber don't drip when you hold them upside down. The valve falls out sometimes, but rarely, and really only when thrown on the hard floor, and it's worth it for me to have them not dripping all over the place.

I agree.. The other cups that have the valves get nasty. I do like the playtex ones too. The valves on those are easy to clean.. But our fav is the 1st yrs ones (mentioned above)

My favorite is the First Years since they stack and don't have separate valves to clean out.
