Weird eye issues?

I already know my vision has changed but yesterday something happened that scared me.

I was walking into Target with DS & DD and I honestly felt like I was being spun around. My vision felt like when you spin around real fast. I had to walk over to the cart corral and hold on for a few mins. I don't know if I was going to pass out or fall down.

After a few mins my vision went back to normal and I felt normal. I am at a huge loss what this could be. I already have low BP and get very lightheaded when standing up. Sometimes my vision goes almost completely black. But I could see, it just felt off. Oh and I do drink a LOT of water due to living in the high desert of SoCal and having kidney stones.

HELP!!!

Was it just your sight, or did you /feel/ swirly? My first thought was vertigo.

Re: Weird eye issues?

I had that happen one day with my last pregnancy. Everything went white in just one eye and I was sort of disoriented. Never happened again so I didn't worry about it

My mom has low blood pressure and she has told me she sometimes feels like the world goes "swirly" (even when she wasn't pregnant).

Anemia?

I had anemia and I would feel so dizzy at times. I also would start feeling like I was going to pass out and everything would get swirly and go black.

It was my sight and me. I felt like I had just spun around 20 times to get dizzy but the world and me were not spinning.... if that makes sense. Like my brain & body were dizzy.

Re: Weird eye issues?

I get that a lot, esp this pregnancy. My doc was/is aware of it, but isn't concerned. I would mention it to your doc though and get checked out, but I wouldn't be too worried.

When I get low BP during pregnancy I sometimes experience a sensation like that. Feels like vertigo.

We learned in my audiology classes that the difference in dizziness and vertigo is that dizziness is your head is spinning, and vertigo is the room spinning.

I get vestibulitis once in a while. It's where the vestibule in the ear becomes inflamed/infected, usually by a virus. Once was so bad that I couldn't even sit in a chair. I was so dizzy and no control over my balance that I literally had to lie down for nearly two weeks.

Sometimes it feels like butterflies bouncing off the inside of my skull. Everything goes black.

Try drinking something with electrolytes in it as well as just water. I am a huge water person and have episodes like that in each pregnancy, this time was the first time somebody suggested adding in electrolytes as well. I drink a vitamin water maybe every other day and someways just pick something other than water like juice. It has helped and I haven't had any bad episodes this time around. Ps I also have low bp.
