Re: Dinner!

pot roast, carrots, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy. Vegan chocolate chip pie (made with white beans and oats in place of flour and butter) turned out pretty good.

Tonight: Salad with blue cheese and seared new york steak

Wed: Chicken drumsticks with mushroom sauce, rice, and these dark purple heirloom beans we got in our CSA box today

Thursday: Ground pork stuffed peppers with roasted butternut squash

Friday: Salad with sauteed onions, summer squash, and bell peppers. Add cherry tomatoes and seared ny steak and then toss with homemade ranch.

Saturday: We will be at a wedding

Sunday: Whole roasted chicken with roasted potatoes and probably broiled tomatoes with parmesan cheese topping.

Monday: Leftovers plus grilled cheese sandwiches

Shopping day here is Tuesdays after we pick up our CSA box and plan around what's inside.

Leftover spicy shrimp pasta. My own creation. But one night making it can feed both o us for about 3 days. So we're on day 2.

Rice and chili w/cheese. Calrose rice and hormel chili. Cravings overtake everything.

Sent from my Inspire. Hope everything makes sense!

Re: Dinner!

Tonight was a baked pork chop dish that had sliced potatoes under the chogs and a mushroom sauce(lite campbells cream of mushroom) with diced onions poured over it. Yum.

Last nights dinner was actually the one I am still drooling over: Broccoli Rabe, bean, and sausage soup. It is a Rachel Ray recipe. I first made it in 2004/5. It is so yummy. There are hundreds of reviews for it and they are all 5 star. I have leftovers that I am going to have tomorrow.

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
