Anyone know how to ship a snap press?

It's super heavy and w/ the handle removed, it's still 10"x12.5"x6.5" which is too big for any flat rate boxes. I know these are sold on here a lot, so I'm just wondering if anyone else has sold theirs. Can you use a flat rate box but not close it all the way?

Thanks!

Re: Anyone know how to ship a snap press?

i dont think you can use a flat rate box or envelope if it cannot close properly on it own. I think you will probably just have to pay by weight unfortunately. but ive never tried to sell anything that heavy. hopefully someone on here will know for sure

Re: Anyone know how to ship a snap press?

It's been awhile but I'm almost positive my snap press came in a MFRB. Looking at it now, I can see it would fit (properly closed). Are you sure it won't fit? Maybe you have a different one than me...

I mailed one in a MFRB a couple of months ago with no problem, and it went across the US. It was the MFRB long box that you have to get from the PO though.

Weird, I don't see a flat rate box on their website that says long or has bigger dimensions. Thank you for the info. I'll try going to the post office tomorrow.

Thank you all for your responses!

Re: Anyone know how to ship a snap press?

Mine came in a FRB too. I don't remember medium or large, but it was the shorter fatter one, not the long flatter one. It was a little misshapen when taped, but I got it OK.
