My sister was rushed to the hospital earlier. They think she might be in premature labor! She isn't due until October 11th. Please pray that if the baby is born she will be ok!

Praying for your sister. Her due date is two days after mine. Hopefully the doctors are able to stop her labor and keep baby in a few more weeks at least! I did read somewhere recently though that babies born after 34wks tend to do just as well as full term babies in the long run.

The Doctor says my sister's potassium is lower than when she came in the hospital. They have to figure out what is wrong now and we have no clue how long she will be in the hospital. They said this is very life threatening. This new OB/GYN seems very nice and knowledgable.

The low potassium was causing the premature labor. They think a lack of magnesium caused the low potassium. They stopped her labor and are giving her magnesium and potassium to see if that will bring up her potassium levels. She'll be getting several blood tests tonight to monitor her levels and if they improve she might go home tomorrow.

Her potassium levels are up to 3.6 now. If it remains the same overnight she can go home tomorrow.
