Sadface. A friend I have known since high school (who married a guy in our class as well) had a baby boy a week after my baby was born (so May 18th) and he has a hole in his heart. They've tried meds but it's not working so he's going to have open heart surgery on Sept 14th..His medical bills have already reached 25k, his mom works at a bank and his dad I'm not sure of but i know he works on commission and cannot afford to miss work to stay with them at the children's hospital 5 hours away, despite having the time off approved. If you can donate, great, and if not, just send some positive prayers their way.

As a mom of an Owen who also has heart problems and has undergone two heart surgeries, my heart goes out to this family!

I hope this little boy sails through his surgery and goes on to be a vibrant little kid.

According to the link above, Owen is home and doing better than expected. Thank the Lord!! Praying for his continued progress!
