Diaper Swappers

I just got word yesterday that she went home! 3.5 months in the hospital but doing fine.

(written 9/1/12)We got a great surprise when we saw Presley today, they took her off the heavy duty ventilator, and moved her to something much less 'invasive' (if breathing on her own is like riding a bike, today she went from a big wheel to training wheels). We've gotten good news every turn so far, but this was a major step. Thanks again to every one for your thoughts and prayers.

I found out a few weeks ago that a classmate/friend of mine was expecting a baby this winter. *He just posted that she was born yesterday at 24weeks 5days. *She has an infection and is under the blue lights.*

I would never in a million years ask for othes to pray for this baby, Miss Presley Blake Jutras, but this was a good friend of mine growing up. I don't know why seeing this baby like this breaks my heart. But it hurts me to see my old friend have to deal with this as a first time father.

So sad. Sending many prayers & positive thoughts for the baby and her family.

This brings back many memories. My niece was born at 27 1/2 weeks. It is just unimaginable to see such a teeny baby. I would go and visit her one day and then the next day when I went to see her I went through the schock at how small she was all over again. Her head was the size of a tennis ball and her legs were the size of my brothers finger.
