Re: What should my next step be?

I had a similar issue because the teller REFUSED to scan it and I was too young to know any better but she did agree to stamp my printout. The packaged did arrive and was scanned later on in the journey but this was at least 9 years ago. I haven't had another experienced like that and finding a blue box in my area is hard, I haven't seen one in years. I hope it arrives with no problems

I've had packages not scanned initially but arrive without issue.

I have talked to people at the post office about DC #s and they say they don't always HAVE to be scanned. It's just a delivery confirmation so technically it doesn't have to be scanned until destination.

I wouldn't worry yet.

This is what my postal worker was basically trying to say. I have just never had this happen in the dozen of packages I have sent. I will try not to worry, but I will keep checking back!

Good to know this has happened to others. It gives me a little relief.

I sell quite a bit on eBay, and usually drop packages in the blue boxes outside. It's actually been about 50/50 that they don't get scanned out the post office I left it at, but then a few days later they're scanned somewhere along the way and the info updates then with several scans before then. Sometimes the scans seem to get "backlogged" and theres a delay in updating the status.
