pp gift instead of goods?

What does that mean? Or what does that do? I had a momma ask me to pay her this way.

That option is for personal gifts only. There is no fee, but also no protection for the buyer or seller if you pay that way. Ds rules (and pp rules) require you to send payments for goods as such, not as personal payments. If it was someone on here, they can be reported to mods.

Remind her it's against the rules. If she insists, pass on the item.

Only pay as goods, its probably just someone trying to get around PP fees, but paying as gift instead of goods doesnt protect you if she is a scammer.

I had something come through as personal when someone paid through an app. on their phone. That's happened multiple times to me.

I would pass her name on to a mod to have them politely remind her of the rules. Hopefully she's just not up to date on them as she should be, rather than scamming. They can link her to the proper rules

And as PP said, only payments sent as goods protect both you and the seller on DS. Never send anything other than goods, and always make sure the other person knows it isn't allowed.

Paying as personal is risky b/c there is no recourse. It is also against the rules. I'd let the mama know. If she insists, as a PP recommended, send her name to a mod.

IIRC, the app only lets you send as personal, that's why lots of mamas wait until they can get to a computer to pay. If someone sends as personal, politely remind them it's against the rules and refund them.

I told her it was against the rules. She never responded. I sent her name to the Mods. I feel bad doing that though.
