What would you do re: warranty issue?

I sold a set of Flip covers to someone last month or so; I bought them new in May during the flip sale. She pm'ed me to ask about the warranty; one of the waist elastics went out already.

It's still technically under warranty, but I believe only through me. Should/can I offer to take it back, send it in, and then send her the new one? Or any other suggestions? Would it be better to print out the invoice from my account and send it to her and let her handle it? Just curious what is the proper way to handle this.

Thanks.

ETA: When I sold them, they were washed only, never used. I am mostly wondering if there is any reason NOT to send her the receipt so that she could do the return herself.

It would be nice of you to do that for her, but i dont feel like you are obligated to do that in anyway. Thats the risk you take when you buy something used

It would only cost me a stamp if I sent her the invoice. They were only washed, never used. I guess I am just wondering if I am opening myself up to any problems by sending her the invoice.

You could contact the company directly and ask if it's something they would cover. If they say yes, then send her the invoice and let her deal with returning, etc.

It's Cotton Babies, and they have a 1 year warranty...

I would first contact cotton babies. Explain the issue and see if it's covered. If it is, ask what they need from you. If they just need a proof of purchase, email/mail it to her and have her take it from there. I wouldn't be out any cost to get it back, mail in, mail back etc if it were me as they were fine when they left you, correct? Just make sure none of your important info is on there (like a full CC# for example).

I'd just send the invoice to her. Tbh. She can say it was a gift. Which isn't really any of their business since she'll have proof of purchase.
