[QUOTE=divabeadz;15700662]Sorry for the crappy pics - these were before dh built the frame to go under it b/c I made it a couple inches larger on each side than a card table.

Oh what a cool toy! Well done, Mama!

Re: help my homemade Christmas!

Last Christmas I made owl hats for all the nieces and nephews (20!) Of course I used boy colors for the boys. They all loved them, even the 18 year old.

This year I am thinking maybe 2-3 reusable snack bags and fill them with treats. I t&t one and it looks good, but took a long time. I serged a few and want to wash them 3-5 times to see how they hold up before I make more. Not as fun as the owl hats, but dd likes hers!

Re: help my homemade Christmas!

OK, I have some ideas I'm working on that I thought I'd share - love Pinterest for all the great ideas you get to see when you search! For my will be 2yo DD and 4yo neice, I'm doing doll diaper bag, diapers, wipes and baby doll peasant dresses, here's some of the tutes:
Can't get the links working, but wipes case from 2 little hooligans
wipes and diapers from Bee In my Bonnet (the diaper's from Skip to my Lou, but I like her fabrics and she also has a cute pinafore dress pattern)
For the now 3yo nephew - a felt house car mat (I'm changing the house to a garage!) from Cook Clean Craft
For my SIL, a casserole carrier - there''s tons out there
For my hubby and brother, Car shirt from Gideon's Travels - and maybe an edible gift too!
Grandparents are getting either a photo calendar or handprint art calendar, leaning twd the handprint because another SIL might do photos - one set of grandparents got 2 photo calendars last year!
The other 3, 4 yo nephews, not sure - I'm really not sure if they'd like/appreciate the car house, maybe a super hero cape, just not sure...
the 12 yo niece, maybe a purse, might have to get an online pattern, love a few different ladies stuff, so we'll see...
1 yo nephew no ideas!!! He's a 3rd child, so they really have everything, just not sure what to do special for him.
That's all I HAVE to do. Keep your ideas coming, I'm still in need!!!

The littles in our family (ages 1-4.5) are getting dress up clothes. The girls are getting crowns and tutus, and the boys are getting superhero masks and capes. I'm making snow globes for some of the adults too.

Re: help my homemade Christmas!

Well, for my 4 yr old dd I'm making her a diaper bag, with the accessories, doll clothes and some diapers. We bought some new dolls to go along with it too. My son who is 1 (will turn 2 in January) I'm making him a tool belt and a work bench out of an old end table. I also found some yo yos for toddlers that I might make both of them. I'm also making play doh for them too as stocking stuffers.
