If you can't find any local there are tons on amazon. Shipping can be pretty quick too. I ordered a book and bd present sunday night and already got them.

Re: Newborn constantly rooting around for food?

Not sure if this story will help. My DD was supplemented with formula then by 3-4 days totally on BM. She was eating every 2-3 hrs with both formula and BM. She was very spitty when we got her home at 2 days but by the time on full BM was fine. Enfamil Lipil was the hospitals formula. When she went back on formula(long story that I hate) she got spitty and colicky again. I switched her to Good start with no DHA/ARA with no transition. She had no issues within 2 feedings! Moral of my story IMO is that the formula was the culprit. She was fine in the hospital pretty much. Maybe a tad spitty at the end. BTW what made me switch was her projectile vomiting about 5-6 days after on the formula again.
I would think he isn't eating to much but if he isn't happy between feedings I would either cut the DHA/ARA out or go back to Similac.
I know it is hard because all you want to do is soothe them.

Swaddle, swaddle, swaddle to get them to sleep and stay asleep. I learned this the hard way with my little one. I'm not sire if you are doing this or not.
