Re: Who loves their washing machine??

Another old, plain, Whirlpool top-loader here too. Been going strong for 13 years (8.5 years of heavy-duty diaper laundry), with zero maintenance or repairs. We use only Biokleen detergent for diapers, no laundry additives, no bleach, and still no stink!

I dread the day our washer dies. New ones always seem to have really crappy reviews. Another instance of "they don't make 'em like they used to".

I love my HE TL. It's an LG Waveseries. I can add water, add extra rinses, soak, etc ith it's settings. it's been great for diapers and clothes. I'd definitely buy it all over again.

Re: Who loves their washing machine??

I have ended up using too many different washers to count.

My favs have been older, standard cheap-o top loaders with a capacity of about 2.5 cubic feet. The ones that are bigger don't get the diapers clean, no matter what water level or whatever I set it on, go figure.

I do like having the knob for an automatic extra rinse.

Ended up getting a GE top loader that has an auto fill water level as well as custom fill levels to bypass the water saver feature. It has a second rinse and a power rinse. The reviews on amazon are pretty split, some love it and others hate it :/. It was pretty cheap so hopefully it will work well for my temporary needs and get me through this last DS's cloth diaper stage then I'll upgrade when we move in 2.5 years. Fingers crossed the bad reviews aren't right.
