Coming home Clothes

I hated the whole "coming home outfit." it annoyed me that such a big deal would be made out of it. Our first came home in a tan onsie with a bear on it.

My SIL told me she found the perfect outfit but had to find one that was warmer... It just annoyed me that she thought she was going to be the one to tell me what my kid would wear. lol.

Well... I bought this the other day because I wanted to buy the first thing for my baby, and my husband deemed it the coming home outfit.

Cute! I usually don't make a big deal of the coming home outfit either...both of the boys just had a carters sleeper or kimono/pants outfit. Since baby might be a girl (per the ultrasound) I have this top and matching yarn to knit footed longies:

DS came home in a onesie that looked like a Mississippi State jersey (our alma mater) and DH and I both wore school colors for our going home photo. If this baby is a boy I will definitely bring the same outfit, if its a girl.. probably find something else but nothing fancy.

We are planning a home birth again (had DD in a small birth center and DS at home) so really no coming home outfits for us but I'm planning on getting a few cute wool combos for the first few days when family and friends visit. We'll wait until we know gender though after our sono at 20 weeks.
