Had our NT scan today. Baby looked great! Tech asked if we'd like to know the sex, and I said no, we were waiting until birth. I told him my intuition was saying girl, and he gave me a completely vague smile.. LOL! But I do wonder, is this a nub down by the rear? Or no? What do ya think?

No idea. But that is so funny how women dont want to know until birth but they are going to be over-analyzing every u/s pic until then. I am gonna wait to find out until this baby is born and i know i will probably be the same way! Haha. We just cant help ourselves

I don't know if I see anything, but all babies have a nub at that point. There is a "nub theory" based on which way it's pointing. The tech can usually make a prediction. It's supposed to be right 95% of the time...of my 3 kids, it was wrong twice!! lol

LOL... my hubs actually pointed the thing that sticks out by the rump, and asked what it is. I explained the nub thing to him, but I wasn't sure if that's where the "nub" usually is or not.

We had our anatomy scan this past Friday and didn't find out, by our choice....it's killing me but it's ok...something to look forward to!

I just had an u/s yesterday at 12w3d and our tech explained the "nub" theory to us and walked us through our bean on the screen. In our case, we asked for her guess on gender, so the tech showed us where our bean's nub is and why she would guess girl vs boy for us. It makes sense when I was looking at the screen, but looking at the take-home pics now, and looking at your pic... I can't tell at all! I think one would need to be an experienced u/s tech to give you a guess on the nub at this point

There is a website out there where you can submit your photo and get some feedback, but if you don't really want to know, then I wouldn't

That was interesting! Now when I look at this our u/s looks boy to me, but the tech guessed girl. But I guess it's only a slightly-better-than-50/50 chance that either of us will be correct so we will wait and see!
