Help with pricing/opinions

I just made my first diaper that is all my design. I have previously revamped diapers and overhauled them (basically reverse engineering them) and also made some diapers almost exactly like my newborn sposoeasys, but this time I have made one that is a little bit like a couple of the designs of a few big name diapers, but more something I think I will like much better. The one I have made is going straight into my stash as I absolutely love it, but I wanted to ask opinions on if other mamas would like/buy a diaper like I made and ultimately at what price point I would try and sell them at.

So I guess here goes:

Features of the diaper:

It's an One Size AI2 with a pocket opening for stuffing
It is about the size and shape of a Bumgenius 4.0
3 snap down rises for 4 sizes (instead of the 3 sizing options Bumgenius offers)
The outters are PUL
The inners are Sherpa
I made this one Touchtape closure but would also like to make/offer snaps
There is an anti wicking front belly panel
I am still refining the tab area but currently they are knit material stretchy tabs with touchtape attachment tabs
The inserts on this one are cotton with a cotton velour top featuring 2 snaps to correspond with the 2 snaps in the diaper I would offer 1 or 2 with the diaper
The snaps are all reinforced with a second layer of PUL (this included the 2 snaps on the inners

I used my sewing machine for 2 hours to make 1 diaper, but I was slow both on purpose AND because I didn't look up patterns so I was going by my own knowledge and writing steps down along the way.

Some design elements

If anyone has opinions on design/price/materials/things they would like to see
please let me know. I like honest opinions a lot I am just now trying to get a business off of the ground so I can stay at home with the littles.

Thank you mamas

Great job! I really like this diaper. One thing I did notice that for the rise snaps you used mostly male snaps & 1 row of female snaps. Going forward I would use mostly female and 1 row of male because the males stick out farther. As far as price point how much does it cost on materials for you to make 1 diaper?
I would base my opinion on pricing the diaper off of that number.

Re: Help with pricing/opinions

I'm not sure. I would say around 7.50 but that's honestly just a number i pulled out of thin air that sounds close to right.

Well once you get faster at making them it will take less of your time. If I liked a wahm product I would pay the same as a Bg 4.0 pocket for them. I think $18 for a Bg 4.0.

Some work at home mamas have their diapers at $25-$35 and that seems outrageous to me.

Re: Help with pricing/opinions

I'd think $18-20 is reasonable. Plus if you do it at that rate, you can justify sales and promos for customers to drive sales. :-)

Re: Help with pricing/opinions

I agree on the Male/Female snaps. I think 18-20 is decent.
