I only had mf stink when I used Charlie's...it made me pretty darn paranoid though.

Re: Am I the only one who has found microfiber not to be stinky?

I didn't until they got older (the inserts) as nothing else had changed...then it seemed they needed stripping and bleach (at about a yr of use). I got sick of having ranodm stink issues at that point so just bought flour sack flats and haven't had a problem since.
I think if I had gotten new MF inserts, that would have worked too, but the cotton will last forev compared to my mf...imo.

I had major ammonia issues with my MF inserts and tried bumGenious odor remover spray and it worked really well. It's a bit pricey though.

how do you use it? just spray on the inserts or add into the wash?

Re: Am I the only one who has found microfiber not to be stinky?

Never had a particular issue with microfiber that I didn't also have with other fabrics.

I think the MF hate is half people with difficult washing conditions (frontloader + hard water, or not enough detergent, or not really hot water etc) and half that people idolize the "natural" around here. It is cooler to hate MF, dontcha know?

There is also confirmation bias. You expect to find something wrong with your MF because thats all you've read here. So when you run into an issue, you react to it differently and remember it differently than you would if you encountered it in the Oh So Holy Organic Cotton.

Now I've got BGEs and MEOS and PFs too. I just crack up how the mindset reaches from what kind of cloth diaper to use into produce over to rejecting the advice of physicians.

As if nature did anything but allow more to live than die.

Never had an issue with microfiber stinking. I think most of it is due to the whole "Don't use a lot of detergent/don't use hot water on diapers" idea. I don't know why people think something that is covered in pee and poop doesn't need to be cleaned thoroughly

Re: Am I the only one who has found microfiber not to be stinky?

My stash consists of BG 4.0's but I haven't had any problems with the microfiber either. Granted I've only been using them for a month but will be switching over to Tide as soon as my RnG is used up.

I use all MF and have for years, and have never had stink or any issues. I have hard water too... I just use vinegar and bleach, wash on hot, rinse on cold. Oh and I use Gain!
