Went out for sushi and then to my cousin's engagement party. It was great and so much fun.

Yeah, I am glad to have lost so much of the weight. I cannot wait to lose the rest of it. I am holding 2 lbs of water from last night.

I am on 2 pills 3 times per day and metformin and have not had sugar issues.

Re: The 25lb Challenge September thread

I weighed myself this morning and I was 147.7! I was 150 on weigh-in day. yay! Yesterday was the first day with no sugar and I did pretty good. I wasn't super hungry either. I did crave an apple with almond butter in the afternoon, but settled for just some almond butter on a spoon instead. I think I'm going to do 1-2 weeks with no fruit (I guess kinda south beach diet-ish) and then slowly introduce it back in. I don't eat a ton of fruit, mostly an apple here and there and banana or berries or whatever I have in my protein smoothies.

Awesome!! I was 162.8 this AM after last night. I am sure it is water as I had high sodium foods.

Re: The 25lb Challenge September thread

I did have a great time, but am still at 162.1 today. I am disappointed it took 2 hours to gain back 2 pounds, and forever to lose it. Hopefully I can adjust my diet to help increase my supply and still lose weight.

I know what you mean! Friday night I caved and we had KFC and I instantly gained 3 lbs, and still haven't lost it! It's definitely not worth it to cheat.

Plus now we've decided to go to Disney in December instead of February, so I'm bound and determined to lose at least 20 lb by then. 12 weeks to go before we leave, so it's doable but there's no room for cheating!

All I had was sushi and sashimi. You would think I went to McDonalds...LOL! I know some can be the sodium, but after 2 days? I am thinking in a couple of days I can be back down to 161 at least. I need to add oatmeal to my diet - ugh, which I do not think will help me.

Re: The 25lb Challenge September thread

I'm trying to go paleo, but I've been debating adding steel cut oats too. When I first lost a lot of weight and was in awesome shape, I had oatmeal for breakfast everyday. I'm just not sure if it would make a difference or not, or if I should just stick with the mostly paleo diet. I haven't had hardly any bread products for the most part. I'm usually eating veggies, kefir, small amount of cheese (really small), lots of hard boiled eggs, all types of meat but mostly chicken/fish, hardly any fruit (only a banana each day usually).

Anyone really smart when it comes to nutrition stuff? I don't know if last time I lost so much weight because I was eating a bit of steel cut oats and quinoa/healthy grains everyday, or if it was just because I was a bit more strict about working out/not cheating that time.
