Re: The 25lb Challenge September thread

I'm slowly getting there on the whole foods thing. I stopped drinking soda when DS was born and it finally doesn't taste good to me anymore! That was always one of my worst weaknesses so I'm glad I got rid of that.

Re: The 25lb Challenge September thread

So I am up almost 2 pounds from yesterday, I know I shouldn't weigh myself daily but I am so impatient. I did not over do anything yesterday but I did eat rice pasta, something tells me my body doesn't care for starches.

Limited dairy. Lots of eggs, nuts to snack on. Because I'm eating so healthy I don't worry about counting any calories, I just eat whenever I'm hungry and so far it's working good for me. I'm at 10 lbs down total after a month, but I've had a few oops days in there in the beginning. Now that I'm more used to eating this way, if I do eat something unhealthy I feel ter-ri-ble after!
I have been doing the same and am down 13 lbs so far. I only eat when I feel hungry. I resist eating out of bordom, which I like to do. Last night I refused a hot fudge sundae. One, it would back fire on me, and two, I did not want to cheat. I had fruit instead.

It's such an awesome feeling when you make a healthy choice versus giving in and cheating! I find if you can just get through the first couple weeks, it gets easier and easier after that as it becomes your new routine to automatically reach for something healthy versus "comfort food".

I couldn't resist waiting so I weighed myself...201.5! This is the first time I've ever successfully and purposely lost weight without it being totally miserable!

Good job!!!!

I went for a 2-mile walk w/ the kids in the double stroller. But then I had a few corn chips and two little pieces of chocolate with lunch. Grrr...
I'm scared to weigh myself tomorrow...if I haven't lost anything I will be so disappointed.

It really is a good feeling. It was not hard, but I did want one. I just knew it wasn't worth it in the long run. I love and had frozen cherries instead.

Lost .3 this week. It's not much but at least it's something. Current weight is now 172.5.
