Re: How long did you babywear for?

I still wear DS at least 3-4 times a week, he's 3.5yrs and inching up to 35lbs. Granted he has issues with crowds and craves the closeness and deep pressure of being in the carrier, so situations like the Renn Faire this weekend he gets worn all day. But even at home if he's super cranky and fighting sleep I'll put him up and he calms down enough to fall asleep. I use mostly half buckles and wraps now, but have used RSs, full buckles, and MTs as well.

I wear DS almost daily. He's almost 3.

ETA: He's usually happy in the carrier and will even nap if he's tired. We use bigger toddler sized carrier. Toddler KP, and Kanga XTP.

I still carry my 2.5 year old DD in my ergo and Boba. I also have a 6 month old DS who I wear mostly in an ergo. I often end up wearing them both in and out of the store etc. I get lots of strange looks people look at me like "ummm haven't you heard of a stroller", but hey if they both need to be held you gotta do what you gotta do I actually love that my 2 year old still wants "uppie with mama"...most of the time.

I still wear my 35lb 4 year old when he asks. My 20 month old will tolerate being worn in certain moods.

Re: How long did you babywear for?

My son was worn daily even after he was 4. He loved it, plus when I was walking to school for my oldest, it was just safer to keep him in a carrier and put the baby in the stroller.

My youngest was worn daily until after 2, and then she really didn't want to be worn anymore, so since then it has been occasionally. She just turned 4 and dh wears her when he goes hiking.

My assumption is that the newbie will be about the same- daily until about 2 and then we'll see.

I wore my oldest until he was about 3.5. He loved it, and I much preferred it over trying to keep him from darting off when we were out. When he hit 30lbs I stopped. I was also very pregnant at the time.

Looks like our daughters are close in age. My daughter was born at the end of April 2011.

Re: How long did you babywear for?

My twins just turned 4 in August and I can't carry them anymore cause they're 35 and 40 pounds. My 16 month old LOVES to be worn, but she's getting up to 25lbs. I really should wear her more often, especially when she's teething like the last few weeks.
