Newbie In Need

Hi everyone,

I'm so thankful to have stumbled upon this site as I am in desperate need of advice on how to start CDing and getting a NB stash together asap. I've done some research on my own but always like to hear from fellow mamas and papas. My reason for such desperation is I've been put on bed rest and considered high-risk for PTL due to my recent hospital visit and doc is saying to start preparing as she'll likely come early :/. My first was a 35 weeker and that whole experience was one I wouldn't want to go through again if I can help it. I'm 32 1/2 weeks now and they will do everything they can to get me to at least 37 weeks-praying I can hold out till then.

That aside, I'm happily married to my husband of 2 years(today happens to be our anniversary ) and we have a 10 yr old daughter who just started 5th grade. I was working full-time as an Office/Billing Manager at a Holistic Wellness Center for the last 4 1/2 years. I like to participate as a family in our local 5k's, volunteer regularly and enjoy anything revolving around nature, it soothes my soul

I'm hoping I can get all the CD basics down before our LO arrives, either way I hope to be able to eventually help others get started on their CD journeys- gotta spread the CD love!

Thanks to all in advance- Happy CDing to all.

Hello there, welcome! Praying for you that you make it to 37 weeks!

I'm fairly new to cloth diapers myself, but I have learned quite a bit. Here's my favorite "introduction to cloth" video. Hope you find it helpful

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone I had my doc f/u yesterday and our LO is looking good but still having pain and contractions about every hour so bed rest is extended for another 2 weeks....there's only so much you can do in bed-ok pretty much nothing useful, so I hope you guys don't mind but you're likely to see a lot more of me around here..lol any suggestions to avoid the bed rest blues?

Re: Newbie In Need

Hey mama, I hope all goes well for you and your lo. I'm also new here and have been researching NB CDs as I'm expecting my first this winter. I found this thread very helpful:

http://http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=581835&highlight=Newborn

It's long, but there's a lot of useful information and it really helped me narrow down some options.
