Fleece/wool over a disposable??
My bff has taken the plunge into daytime cloth, but her super heavy wetting DS (15 months) is soaking through cloth or disposables during.his long nap and at night. She just asked if she could use the fleece or wool covers I am making her over a disposable? I honestly can't think.if.that would work or not since I have not tried it?
On my smart phone which is clearly not as smart as it seems to believe

Re: Fleece/wool over a disposable??
When my middle son was soaking through everything, I went through a period of several months where I did wool over a disposable and it worked well!

Great to hear! I am sending ger some upcycled wool soakers and a few fleece and acrylic soakers. I am also sending her some hemp prefolds to try out too. I just didn't want to give her incorrect information if it would discourage her.

Re: Fleece/wool over a disposable??
yeah I think that would work! I have used flip covers over disposables before too. I traveled and used disposables, but it as during a time when my baby was exploding sloppy poo and I knew the disposables weren't going to catch everything. Flips caught the leaks all the time.

Re: Fleece/wool over a disposable??
When my ds was in diapers we used disposables with a fleece cover over it for night time, worked like a charm! He would leak out of a sposie but with the fleece on top it kept his clothes/sheets dry.

Re: Fleece/wool over a disposable??
Yep! We use fleece longies over huggies at night. No leaks. He's always wet though just just regular Jammie pants.

I use wool for my 13 mo old over his overnight sposies. He is a tummy sleeper so he tends to leak out the top. I have to have wool that completely covers the sposies and it works.

Re: Fleece/wool over a disposable??
I've used fleece covers over disposables with great success. We were on an extended road trip this summer with no good way to do laundry frequently enough to use cloth but DS would occasionally leak out the top of a diaper.
I also used Flips over a disposable when we were flying (4+ flights this summer).

All great to hear! I wish I had tried wool or fleece when moving over the sposies, since my DS leaked even with a thirsties cover over it!
