GBS+, Anyone want to join my pity party?

I just had my 37 week appointment and the results were in. I'm GBS+.

I was GBS+ with DS. It sucks. I didn't want to be this time. I've been taking Culturelle twice a day pretty much this entire pregnancy. I was hoping that would be enough to combat it this time. I just want a quick and easy labor and delivery. I don't want to have to worry about getting to the hospital in time for antibiotics before delivery. I don't want a stupid IV. Last time, the nurse blew out the vein in the first hand she tried to hook up. It swelled up terribly and hurt until my labor got so intense that I forgot about it. Blah.

I have GBS+ will the boys and with this one also.

DS2 I showed up at the hosipital and gave birth 5 min later. It wasn't really a big deal. They just watched DS2 a little closer. I am not really worried. While I will try and get to the hospital with enough time it isn't something I am truely worried about.

Totally sucks!! I'm also GBS+ and my midwife just said that she will come as soon as my water breaks so we can do a heplock and start antibiotics. She also said that if baby comes fast and we don't get a chance to start antibiotics, that it isn't the end of the world and that careful monitoring will be sufficient. I'm not thrilled about this, but at least it isn't going to compromise my home birth plans!

If you think there's time you can do a raw garlic treatment. One clove every night for a week will lower the levels to a negative status. Hugggs.
