DD was 6 months at Halloween and she was a cow. It was just a Carter's costume I found at Costco. I'm not sure what she will be this year. I might attempt to be crafty and make something.

DS1 was 9m and a monkey (my mom made the costume), DS2 was 10m and a caterpillar (and while it was completely adorable, at least 5 people told me what a cute little GIRL I had ) and DS3 was 5m and a rabbit.

Costco and old navy have the best fleece costumes for good prices. Nice and toasty warm, well made, and usually have a hat of some sort.

Ty for the tip. I have only recently discovered the old navy love.

I got "what a cute little boy you have" with DD1's first halloween costume and I'm sure I'll get it again this year with DD2.

DD1's first halloween costume was superbaby - essentially a blue fleece bunting with the superman logo and a fleece cape attached at the shoulders. She was 2 weeks old, and a pic of her at my sister's halloween stag and doe is my avatar. She's 10 days there.

DD2's costume is a stitch costume - dark blue footless hooded sleeper with a tail and patch on the back and stitch's face on the hood. Going to get a boys dark blue footed sleeper to put under it - halloween here can be downright frigid. I got it on eBay and then went to etsy to get a Lilo costume for DD1.

Re: Halloween - help me

Dd1 was 11 mo on her first halloween and was a poodle. I added fur to the sleeves, waist and ankles of a pink sweatsuit and added ears to the hood.

Dd2 I found a mermaid sack thing. She was 2 months old. In reality she wore it to get her picture taken than I took the costume off and put her my mai tai for trick or treating - she slept the whole time.

Ds was a week old on his first halloween and on bili lights so we joke he was a glow worm for halloween. He wasn't supposed to be born yet so we never bought a costume for him. At just 1, I made Perry the Platupus costume for him.

DS was a monkey. He was 5 months old. I got the costume for under $20 at babycenter.com

Here's a pic of us then:

My first two were squishy newbies for their first Halloweens so they wore those little sleeper style costumes-- DD was a pumpkin and DS was a tiger. My third was 6 mos and he was Yoda. That costume was adorable.
