OK i just looked again..I forgot that you are going to knit it w/a different gauge..you will need to see which size will fit you better based on your gauge. IIRC..you had more sts/inch for your gauge?..so you will need to knit a bigger size since yours will come out smaller.

the picked up sts look like they are supposed to be along the long edge (down the rows) AND across the CO edge to make 9 sts.

I have some great Pima Ultra (or Ultra Pima, however it's spelled) it just landed in my mailbox today and I'm so jazzed! Anyone up for making me a sweater or a shawl out of it? It'd be a size 2x, so I know that will scare away most of you and probably the rest have too OTN now as it is...hehe. But just on the off chance, I have yarn available for knitting!

You only have one skein so it won't be huge. Shawls usually start with like 3 stitches and then you pu from the side and end to build the next row.

Just had lunch washed down w/a donut (lemon). One load of laundry and then hopefully a few rows before I have to get the kids.
