Re: Fat, sick, and nearly dead

I too have a gluten allergy and I also suspect a dairy one as well. I have only lost 1 pound in 3 days on the fast but I suspect I am drinking too much juice. I am trying to listen to my body and drink what I think I need but from my understanding it is too much. I completed 3 days and will now transition to juicing for breakfast/lunch and then a veg dinner, I believe I will be able to loose more this way since I will not rely soley on the juice. I do feel great though.

I've really found over the last few months how important food is and isn't. When I got over the two week hump chains fell off. I found dairy kills my stomach and gluten puts my immune system into overdrive.
I used to think of my day in regards to meals. Now I have to remind myself to eat. It's quite liberating.

Re: Fat, sick, and nearly dead

I was just bored looking at the most recent postings-- came across this one. Thanks. I watched this today and I'm def inspired! I just gave up coffee last week, and have opted for green tea and RRL tea. We don't juice anymore- we use our blender so we get all the fiber too. ( I NEED that) So starting tomorrow I am commiting myself to this for 10 days. If all goes well I will do the full month. Then 60 days. I am going to start working out at home too. I really need to drop 70 lbs but am shooting for 90 as my ultimate goal. WML!

We did the Juice Feast for 3 months. It was hard but well worth it.

I love, love, LOVE Joe Cross and Phil Staples (The truck driver Joe meets)! Follow them on facebook! I love juicing. The longest fast I did was 10 days.

That is amazing! I've always wanted to do a three month juice feast.

Re: Fat, sick, and nearly dead

Just watched this and I'm intrigued. Not sure it would be completely safe for someone who is tandem nursing though so not something I really plan on doing, but I am definitely inspired to keep going for eating more veggies and less meat and dairy and to juice a bit more! Being able to eat a lot of fruit has never been a problem for me; I think I used to eat too much fruit, actually!
