Diaper Swappers

I'm looking for some info from you. :-)

We're moving to the Kailua side of the island in about 3 weeks. Any fun crunchy mama groups there? I'm also looking for info on midwives in the area. Are there any birth centers on Oahu? If not, what are my best options for birthing as naturally as possible?

FYI - We will be on federal health care but my hubby is still reserve for a while longer (but we don't have tricare.)

Castle medical center is pretty good for natural births. There are no birthimg centers. Dr. Lori Kimata is the most popular midwife but very busy!!

oh I miss hawaii...if we ever move back I am definitely going to find a place in Kaneohe <3

A friend of mine just gave birth at Castle Hospital in Kailua. According to her, they have a 'jacuzzi' (which sounds to me almost like a birthing pool) and probably is your best shot at a very natural birth. I'm not sure who her doctor was though.

I gave birth at Queen's in Honolulu. No tubs, nothing. They do, however, encourage you to walk everywhere when you're in the beginning stages of labor!
