S/O The talk about personal safety...

Would anyone be willing to post the exact language and explanations you use with your lo's about personal safety/safe touching at each developmental level? Also any book or resource reccs? I'd like to start thinking about how to approach this. Thanks!

Re: S/O The talk about personal safety...

I use real language with my kids. NO ONE is to EVER touch your penis or your bottom unless it is a doctor and mommy/daddy is in the room or it is mommy and daddy bathing you. IF anyone ever touches you in those places, you tell mommy and daddy immediately.

Our pediatrician also repeats it at every annual visit when she has to check them. The boys ALWAYS look at me for reassurance that what is happening is okay, all the while the doctor is explaining that she is ONLY allowed to do this because mommy is in the room and it is for health reasons.
