Sharing my NO KNEAD Wheat Bread Recipe

I've had a few people ask about this recipe & I've posted it in a few threads for people looking for a good bread recipe, so I just thought I'd put it out here for everyone Hope you enjoy it! I miss it (had to illiminate gluten here) but would love to hear how much YOU love it since I can't anymore!

1 c lukewarm water
1/4 c milk or juice
1/3 c melted butter, oil or flaxmeal mixture
3 tbsp molasses, maple syrup or honey
2 tsp instant yeast
1/4 c dry/powdered milk
1 1/4 tsp salt
3 c whole wheat flour

1. Combine (I mix mine in a stand mixer, but it doesn't really matter as long as you mix it).
2. Cover & let rise in greased loaf pan for 60-90 mins.
3. Uncover & bake at 350 degress for 40-35 mins.

Yum! Youve inspired me to try and make my own bread now! How long would it keep in say a ziplock?

I couldn't give the best estimate as my guys here inhale bread so it never lasted more than a couple to a few days. The one thing to be careful of when you are making things yourself is that things tend to spoil/mold/etc much faster due to the lack of preservatives & other things in most store-bought products. A lof of times I store things in the fridge as a preventative for mold or what not.

That looks good. Do you think I could mix it in my food processor? I have a Cuisinart so it is a good one.

I'm sure it would be fine if the manufacturer made it to do stuff like that. I do have a Ninja blender food proc combo & it works in there. I just prefer my stand mixer b/c I can make bigger batches.

I have NEVER considered making my own bread. This recipe looks so good and easy I am going to try it. Thank you for sharing.

Can you post a picture of a baked loaf? I'm curious about the texture.

It is super easy. You'll love it! I always hated the time you have to spend kneading the dough when you make bread, & I'm always trying to do things more easily.

I can see if I have a photo somewhere, but I don't know that I do for sure. I would just bake one & post it, but this is a recipe I used before we had a gluten allergy, so I don't actually use it anymore.

I bake my own whole wheat bread and I keep it in a tightly twist-tied bread bag In a dark cabinet and it keeps for at least a week (if it's not eaten by then). The fridge is really the worst place for bread as it dries the bread out terribly and it becomes stale much faster than it would being stored at room temperature. Pre-slicing your bread is also not a good thing to do if you are concerned with preserving freshness. Just my $0.02.
