Gymboree is much more my style if I'm going to pay that much. Usually, we do consignment store Gymbo.

Never heard of it before, but I do somewhat like that style. I'd never pay those prices, I'd just make it myself.

I agree. I think they are totally fug. My rule with kids clothes is that I dont put anything on them that I wouldn't wear myself. Those MJ pants with the giant ruffles send me right over the edge (not in a good way). I stick to Gap, gymbo and H&M for kids clothes.

It went so high because it was a HTF outfit that is retired. That being said I no longer buy MJ because they had a breach in there systems and many customers Credit Cards #s were stolen and used for fraud.

Re: Matilda Jane? Can someone fill me in?

The Christmas dresses from Platinum sell out in seconds and people who really want the dress will pay the inflated prices. My daughter wears 99% Matilda Jane, but I will never pay those prices, haha. I love the style, haha...but definitely understand that it's not something that everyone is fond of. As far as the cost...in the end I don't pay much. Some things I resale for how much I spent new, some things I sell for more, some things for a little less....it pretty much evens out in the end.

Never even heard of it. Off to google now

Eta: some is cute and some I would NEVER buy. I can see the appeal though. It's different and kind of has a hippie/holly hobbie look.
