Re: I wanna know- What DON'T you let your kids watch????

Pretty lax even on some of the PG stuff since she has heard a lot of it before and know not to repeat things like zookeeper was one we watched together and I thought pretty decent. no Simpsons for my 7.5 yr daughter for instance but we just have regular tv... no cable or satalite. No spongebob type stuff either here....

Some things I remember like in college I liked from Disney channel like motocrossed, wish something I think and a few others we have watched together. I thought were cute movies they made.

My daughter is almost three. We do not allow Spongebob or Phineas and Ferb. They seem to not have any educational value.

I'm not bothered by old Disney, I grew up watching them. I don't do the princess movies really, just Beauty and the Beast and Mulan if that can even be considered a "princess movie". I like Oliver and Company, Lady and the Tramp, Homeward Bound (Tharen loves this because Chance looks like Duke), Treasure Planet, The Lion King, Lilo and Stitch and Winnie the Pooh. Those are really what we have around here. Oh and dh likes Hercules. Other than that we mostly do anime and old 80's stuff. My kids have been watching The Labyrinth, The Last Unicorn, The Princess Bride, The Never Ending Story, David the Gnome, Care Bears The Movie 1 & 2, Dungeons and Dragons, Hello Kitty (that has no plot but Tharen loves it), original Transformers, Voltron, and original My Little Ponies Movie (I want to find the series for Tharen for Christmas). I don't like pixar except Monsters Inc and I could take that or leave it. I just have not been impressed by almost anything released for children lately, it is like no one is trying anymore.

We don't do Spongebob Squarepants either. We don't watch stupid or ugly shows and I find this show to be both.

We are pretty lax or laid back around here basically any **** that is not on regular TV is a no no.basic nudity is not a big deal.
However I'd most likely not bat an eye if i found out my 17 or even 15 yr old daughters were viewing **** now.

No tv at all here. DSs are 3.5 and 14 months. The 3.5 yo occasionally watches a tractor video or home movie. It's something I feel very strongly about. The tv doesn't come on for us until after their bedtime. I rudely enforce this when we visit family too
