Why braid your wrap?

I've seen many "braided" wraps. Other than looking pretty, what good does it do to braid your wrap?

What she said It breaks it in really nicely if you braid and re-braid.

I have wondered how you braid as well. I have no idea how you can braid a large rectangle of fabric or is it 3 wraps braided together?

I'll just second what everyone else said. Here's a video that shows how to do it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXdxJ...eature=related

Re: Why braid your wrap?

I mainly do it now so it stays more organized in the car and fits in the diaper bag easier.

To break in wraps I would rather do "the twist"- you do this by basically making an twisted icord with the wrap and its so much faster!

Re: Why braid your wrap?

Wraps are also braided for storage because unlike folding, you don't get sharp creases and potentially weakening of fiber along the fold lines.

It's not so much a multi-strand braid as a continuous knotting of the wrap, creating loops and then pulling through to create another loop.
