ammonia and funk rock. help!

I have been dealing with ammonia for a little while and after trying a few other things I finally bought rockin green funk rock. I tried a 60 min soak in funk rock and it didnt get rid of the smell. I read that it is recommended to do an over night soak im rockin green detergent. But I dont have any of that just the funk rock. Has anyone ever done any overnight soak in funk rock? And if you soaked in the bathtub how much did you use?

Or i am open to any other suggestions!!! I miss my dipes!

I've tried funk rock with no luck. I went back to the bleach. 1/4 cup and my dipes are good as new.

Okay so i have a front load washer. When do i put the bleach in? Do i wash in warm hot or cold? And i am sure this sounds dumb but the bleach wont ruin the print on my diapers?

Put it in the bleach dispenser and I put it in at the initial rinse, although some will put it in when they put in the detergent. It truly doesn't matter. I've done it both ways. No its not enough bleach to ruin the print of your dipes.

I am not sure what kind of water we have we have a water softener however i think we still dont have great water. I have done an oxyclean soak. My usual wash routine in rinse, wash(hot), 2 extra rinses. I am going to try the bleach....i hope this works!

Re: ammonia and funk rock. help!

I had the same problem when I using R&G so I tried the funk rock and still no change. Finally I tried tide and some bleach and have never looked back! It works awesome for us I hope it works for you.

I agree with babynme8. Rockin green did not work for us. Strip them then switch to Tide free and clear. It has worked for us too! Never had a problem with amonia since we switched to tide.

Okay, so what if I definitely don't want to use Tide are there other options for a stronger detergent?
