Should I get a a Beco or Ergo? Or Kanga?

I cant decide what to get! I have a Moby and Baby Bjorn that I both love for different things but I'm thinking something that can do front, back, and side. What do you ladies like?

Oh man, now I reading about the Boba and that seems popular. Is that only front wearing?

I got a Kinderpack and it kicks Ergo's butt Ergo was ok until around 20mos, but the Kinderpack is so much more comfortable.

Re: Should I get a a Beco or Ergo? Or Kanga?

The Beco Gemini is pretty much the only soft structured carrier that will do a front, back, forward facing and hip carry. The Ergo and Kanga just do front and back. My little guy is only two months so I haven't tried the forward facing or hip carry on my Gemini but he likes to see the world is getting a little frustrated with the front carry, when he has good head control I think he'll appreciate the options. If you're looking to do mainly a back carry, which as they get heavier is probably more practical the Beco Butterfly is really easy to get them into because it has a pocket you can put them into and then just hoist them onto your back. You can also transfer them from one person to another with the Butterfly without taking them out of the carrier. All depends on which options you want but since you mentioned hip carry you should check out the Gemini. Frogmama.com has good deals on used ones and seconds, that's where I got mine.

I have my 14 pound five and a half month old DD in a Boba. It is so comfy. It's the only one I've ever tried. You can do back or front carries.

I have an Ergo Performance, Beco Butterfly 2, and Boba. Honestly, get the one you can find on sale. The Ergo is on babysteals this morning.

Re: Should I get a a Beco or Ergo? Or Kanga?

I love my ergo carrier. I haven't tried any of the others you mentioned though. Ergo does front, hip and back carry, and distributes weight nicely. I use it all the time. He's 16 mo, 24 lbs and I still front carry him. He loves it too (most of the time)!

I tried the Ergo, the Beco Gemini and the Boba 3g. I went with the Beco for the newborn stage and liked the Boba for the older stage. I wasn't crazy about the Ergo.
