I have a Thunderbolt and an ipod touch (obviously not an iphone, but it seems similar to my dad's iphone in a lot of ways) - I think they're both very nice, but Fi seems to have a good handle on the answer, so I won't try to sway you towards an android, because her answer is very thorough.

Re: KAL! Sept 16-22. Knit a present!

I never made it any farther on my hudson last night - still only 1/2" in on the brim. I got caught up looking on Rav at skirt patterns. I'm really thinking I'd like to try and make a skirt for myself. I know it'd be a big project, but I'd really like to make myself something (besides a hat, scarf or way-beyond-my-current-skill-level sweaters). I am still having so much fun taxing my current level though, it's a lot of fun when I get things right!

Yes, its cestari fine. I usually use cascade 220 for my customs, but she sent the yarn. There was a learning curve to knitting the cestari, but I love how warm and thick they feel!

And thanks everyone!

Re: KAL! Sept 16-22. Knit a present!

totally agree on the carry over stripes. I'll have to remember that trick. Looks like classy rainbows!

thanks Fi, I'll have to see what's out there and see if I can test drive some. My current phone is just about like your avergae cordless phone at home LOL well you know what I'm sayin. I feel comfortable w/the iphone because of our itouch and the transferability but apple really, really bugs me to no end. I can't believe the new phones now have new adapters and different plugs. Why can't they just use USB like everyone else???? grrrrrr

We'll go look this weekend. I think I may opt for a phone on the nicer side and then get the less expensive kindle (small screen, no 4g). I really want to be able to take advantage of my prime membership on it since we do have that.
