My very first carrier was an action baby carrier and loved it. I believe I payed close to $90 new almost 3 years ago I know the price has increased since. I am taller and didn't use it past a year so I can't help you out there. I just got curious about trying new carriers and sold mine for something else but never had a complaint with the action baby carrier.

Hi, thank you! I was thinking about a BB2 but know I cant get one used for less than 80$. I am a little nervous about doing a back carry and the BB2 has that panel, but I dont know if it is really worth it. This action baby carrier look similar just no panel I think. Did you use the hood thing?

Also, I see you live in Memphis? I am in Olive Branch just across the border.

I used the ABC for back carries. It is what I learned with. As far as buckle carriers I have only used that, ergo, and the babyhawk oh snap. I would say none were easier than the others to use. For a buckle carrier the ABC is a pretty affordable option! Is it possible for you to try it on with your baby to see how you like it? I noticed you said it was local.
And yes I'm up here in memphis

Oh and yes I used the nap hood all the time! Ds always fell asleep in the carrier and it really helped keep his head from flinging around while I walked and shopped.

My sil has the bb2 and I purchased an olives & applesauce (o&a) one. Her daughter is 2 but tiny, only around 25 pounds. She fit way better in the o&a. The o& a one has a harness but it's optional if you want to use it plus it has seat darts which gives more room/ support from rear end to knees. They can be hard to find but paxbaby sells them & they are great to work with. I have the newer version & feel like it puts the ideal aspects of several carriers all into one.

Re: Action baby carrier?

I have 3 Action Baby carriers and I love them to death!!! I have a baby in Expedition. another baby in Memories and a toddler in Canyon.
So easy to get on off and very quick to do a back carry.
I have carried all three of my kids in a baby easily and I like the toddler but It's a little tall for my almost 2 yr old but I think it may be just because I am not in the habit of jiggling him down enough.
I think a baby would be very easy to last all through toddlerhood.

Re: Action baby carrier?

I have had an ABC and a BB2 and I like the ABC better. Back carries are pretty easy once you do them a couple times. What I liked least about the BB2 was the panel. It made the carrier feel a lot hotter and it didn't lay right on me especially in a front carry. I also prefer the ABC since you can cross the straps in the back while doing a front carry and it is easier to nurse in than the BB2 (again because of the panel).
