Please help me pick a name!

I vote for Sophie or Lila.

Ellie is too nicknamey/babyish for me (and also very popular as a nickname), and I am tired of hearing Ella (keep in mind that it is more popular than the numbers would lead you to believe, because Ella is a nickname for many other popular "El" and "bella/ella" names right now). That said, follow your heart -- don't let the popularity hold you back from using Ella if that is what you love the most.

I like all of them, of course I have A have a soft spot for Lila. I haven't heard a lot of Ella lately and think its really prett.

Fwiw, I picked uncommon names, both times my ob "hadn't heard that one in years" and neither had I. My son now shares his name with 3, YES, 3 other boys in his preschool class of 10 kids. And my daughters name is on your short list and I have heard it many times here.
Pick what you love and try not to let the other billion ellas in the world bother you ;-)

I love the name Mallorie. A friend named her daughter that a few years ago and I hadn't heard it in ages and I absolutely love it now! (She spells it Mallory)

I like Ella or Sophie with your last name and your ODD's name.

Personally, I would stay away from first names with the same ending sound. Same goes for the L - that would be too many L sounds! Even if you really like the name, test it out together for the full effect. You don't want it to be really rhyme-y or have a lot of alliteration. You could always come up with a variation on the name.

My last name is Curry, so I stay away from 2-syllable names, hard C- or K-names, and those ending in the Y sound. My two kiddos each have names with three syllables - that seems to go best with their last name.

I love Mallory! The others are pretty popular. Mallory is the only one I havent heard more than once on the playground or at school.

I am biased since I have an Ellie(real name Elaina but hardly ever call her that )
I do love Mallory that was on my list for a girl but hubby said
