When to see a caregiver when having an early m/c?
Hi Ladies,
I do not have concrete *proof* that I am miscarrying, just a gut feeling. I have a 4 1/2 mo old and had signs of ovulation a month ago, then a couple weeks ago started feeling preg. symptoms- I had already taken 2 neg tests, but were prob. taken too early to show up (plus I drink a lot of water so the were very diluted). Took another test at what would be 1 week late and was neg. still-- I have been preggo 3 times and know what it feels like for me (super super tired despite getting good sleep was number one, crampy feeling when baby would nurse, breast tenderness, queasiness off and on, things tasting funny to me) so I figured I must not have ovulated and wasn't preggo and to try not to think about it (my babe is only 4 1/2 mos old anyway!!). Well, yesterday my pd did start (this would be my 1st pp pd)-which would be about 2 weeks "late" from when I thought I ovulated. It is horrible, my cramping actually feels like contractions, I can't sleep, I am sweaty and having hot flashes, and bleeding very heavily. If this is a miscarriage, is there anything I should do? Should I see a caregiver? I feel like they wouldn't believe me anyway since I had 3 neg. HPTs!!! Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Re: When to see a caregiver when having an early m/c?
At this point there really is nothing you can do. Just have to get through it. You might mention it the next time you see your OB, but I wouldn't make a specific appointment about it. Can Daddy take care of the baby for a little while to let you rest?
to you

Your cycles are still regulating and periods can be very wonky and hormones as we get older get more like pregmancy symptoms, IMO.
But let's say you were, there is nothing that can be done and if your tests are negative, a blood draw would likely show a beta of nothing. so I would just campOut and put your feet up. Hugs

Re: When to see a caregiver when having an early m/c?
thanks ladies, I am just trying to get a lot of rest, my DH works this weekend, but my 9yo has been really helpful. I do see my gyn for my yearly exam in a week, so I will prob mention it to her, but I know there's no way of knowing at this point.
