Help me love my woven!
I bought a new Girasol 4.2 wrap about the time I started to feel that Noah started to sag in the Sleepy (now Boba) wrap. I washed it and wore him in it a few times but eventually went to the Ergo for most of our baby wearing. I LOVED wrapping with the stretchy wrap and wanted to love the woven but tucked it away in the CD cabinet and now it's creeping up on about a year since I bought it and barely used it.
It's because of that that few days ago I posted it in my local mom group to see if anyone would be interested in buying it, even though my gut told me not to for some reason. I ended up yanking the post this morning. I'd love to make it work for us-help! I'm 5'2'' and about 105lbs. Noah is 15 months and about 23 pounds. I don't even think it's broken in fully.

Re: Help me love my woven!
Do you not like it as much because it's not as soft as the stretchy? It may just need a little more breaking in but I think Giras break in pretty quickly and get super soft. I think a lot of moms sit on wraps or braid them too help break in faster. If he gets antsy while wrapping you could maybe pre-tie for front carries and then adjust or get someone to help you for back carries until he gets used to it. I made the mistake of stopping wrapping at your son's age because the wrap I was using was too narrow, then got a wider wrap and it was hard to get DS to cooperate at first. I'll know better this time around
Good luck mama!

Re: Help me love my woven!
I found my giras to be fairly broken in and soft from the get go...but I only had a few. I also found that they aren't very supportive for toddlers. Just IMO. Maybe try breaking it in and try wrapping again? I am a wrapping dropout...I am a full buckle girl now. LOL

Re: Help me love my woven!
My main issue was that it did not "give" like the stretchy wraps and thus I got impatient trying to work it, to get it like I needed to get it. Then learning the "new" woven wraps...I ran out of patience, I guess.
