Immersion Blender suggestions?
so, my immersion blender just died
and i need a new one i don't even know the brand of my old one, it was passed on to me by my grandma. she'd been using it for who knows how many years, but i dunno, one day it just.....died.i'd like to keep it under $50, but i do tend to be hard on my appliances so i want it to last for awhile. i'm intrigued by the ones i've seen online with whisk attachments and such, so that's a plus, but not a necessity. does anyone have any recommendations? |

Re: Immersion Blender suggestions?
I have a white Kitchen Aid one. I don't have any attachments (except the blending one), but I like that I can get them later if I want!

Re: Immersion Blender suggestions?
I don't remember what brand I have. I do know I don't like the ones with plastic instead of metal. I had one melt when I used it on hot cooked pumpkin. My next one I did make sure to get metal. I use it a lot. I do have the wisk attatchment. I never use it.

Re: Immersion Blender suggestions?
Check Amazon for one. They have a few basic Cuisinarts for $35 each right now and a Cuisinart with a whisk for $44. Also, their return policy is amazing so you can just send it back if you hate it.

The cuisineart one on amazon without attachments is all metal and has superb reviews. Recently got that for my mom there's one with attachments for a little more but is plastic.

Re: Immersion Blender suggestions?
I got a Cuisinart Smartstick from Amazon for $25. About two years later, my mom tried whirling a split pea soup with a ham bone which got stuck in the blade and killed the motor. I called Cuisinart. They sent a free replacement!!
LOVED the Smartstick.
