Re: How long was the labor with your second lo?

My first was an induction due to pre e and was exactly 13 hours long (3 1/2 hours was pushing). My 2nd was spontaneous labor with a 36 hour long labor (6 1/2 hours of pushing). In case it makes a difference my 3rd was an induction, 20 hours long and 1 push.

Re: How long was the labor with your second lo?

I count my labors starting from when my water broke, because for me that's when labor basically starts.

DS1. about 9 1/2 hours
DS2. about 9 hours
DS3. just over 7 hours
DD. about 15 1/2 hours.. she was really high up when my water broke, so after just a few strong contractions, labor just stopped. It got going again after a small dose of pitocin and I actually had to push her down from a -3 to a 0.

God bless!

God bless!

Re: How long was the labor with your second lo?

My first I was induced with my water being broke and it was 13 hours from when he broke it.

My second I had contractions all day (prelabor) went in at 1.5 minutes apart and delivered 10 hours later with suction....

I hope this one is a 4 hour 2 push dream baby

Re: How long was the labor with your second lo?

#1-- 3 hours w/3 pushes: induced with pitocin. it would have been shorter if they hadn't turned the pitocin off when I reached 8cm. I stalled as soon as they realized and turned it back on he was born in 10 minutes

#2--20 min from "oh crap this is a real contraction till he was born. Very glad I was alreay at the hospital on my way to a dr. appointment. DH didnt' make it.

#3--induced. 2.5 hours from them breaking my water and starting pitocin. Really just 30 min from contractions that I could feel and that hurt to her being born. 5 pushes for her.

About 5 hours, compared with about 16 hours for my first.
