Bread Machine
Tell me all about yours! I had a freebie one that worked once and we loved it, but after that it never worked.
So I would like to add it to my "birthday wish list". Tell which one I want....links would be awesome. We have four peoples of bread eatting age and I'd reallllly like to start making all our bread. Help me out as to where to start!

Idk how much they cost, but my Kitchenaid and oven are just about as easy. I don't mean to be unhelpful at all, it's just my experience having had a bread machine. I make bread probably 4x a week.

Bread machines are so easy! I hate making bread without it and would never do it if I didn't have the bread maker. No idea what kind ours is but it has tons of different settings we use to make dough and quick breads.

Re: Bread Machine
I have the cuisnart bread machine from costco and it has been wonderful... easy to use and makes great bread and doughs. I have recently been just making different bread doughs in it and then baking them in the oven! That also works super well! The bread is a bit better shape for sandwiches/etc... IMO
I have just been using all the recipes that came with the machine in its book....they've been great!

Read all the negative reviews before you purchase. How I wish I had. I will never buy Cuisinart again. Three different machines, and ended up getting credit for other products and buying a zojirushi. I love my zojirushi!

Re: Bread Machine
I have a breadman and I am satisfied with it. I'd like to eventually get a zojirushi.
I bake our own breads and I am going to mention something I wish someone had told me. If you want "sandwich bread" that slices really nicely and is soft you absolutely need bread conditioners. For any recipe I use 3 tbsn. vital wheat gluten, a small pinch of ground ginger and a pinch of vitamin c or ascorbic acid. The difference is astounding. Prior to using bread conditioner getting nice, even slices of bread was difficult. Now it's a breeze and the bread looks so good.
