Vacation

I'm starting to feel a little depressed after moving here and getting settled in. Told my mil and my mom and am glad to say that sat we are packing up the car and heading out! We are going to visit family for a month.. I really think I need this!

where is your fam you are visiting? TN?

I'm glad you are getting some time to go visit.

Personally, I take moving really hard. I hate wherever I am for the first year, then I warm up to it the second year, by the 3rd year I love it. Give yourself some time in your new place and try to stay positive. Seek out fun and unique things you can do in your area, it will help!



ETA: Coming from Hawaii and moving to FL, though, I will tell you, it took me 5 yrs to get over it. I still miss Hawaii. DH was stationed on Hickam. I will never, ever forget my time there. Nothing compares. It took a lot to be happy where I am now. But it gets easier everyday. Just take it one day at a time, mama.

oh i miss my family tons! we've been in japan for 2 yrs and 3 months and have until june 2014 till we move to our next base. i can fly easily enough from here to seattle but getting anywhere else is commercial and super expensive. my mom is the only one who lives on the west coast . the rest of my family are in oklahoma and texas and my mil is in NY. my mom has come out once and plans to come out again for the baby and my dad plans to come out in may. i just want to see everyone.
