For eggs - chicken, quail, pheasant?

I'd like to start keeping egg laying animals for fresh eggs. I love the taste of quail eggs and we don't go through too many, so smaller eggs in smaller quantities is OK, but I'm curious if theres a better reason why people keep chickens instead of quail or pheasant.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's just economics. Better feed to meat/egg conversion ratio. Lots of people around here raise dove/pigeon to eat.

TONS of people here raile all kinds of foul. It's huge for meat and eggs here. You know if you are fond of small eggs, bantam chickens are awsome little compact chickens. Here is a full grown white black tailed bantam I had. She was the size of a dove. She's the one in front. The others with her are bantams as well. Tons of bantams to choose from. Have fun looking and finding your match!

If we had the space and money we'd have quail as well as chickens, but not for eggs, we'd have the quail for meat, pheasant too, they are yummy. I would stick with chickens if eggs are the main thing you are looking for.

We have someone here that sells quail.... I was tempted to get them but having a hard time deciding!

I will say I love qual eggs and quails in general. i raised them as a kid and they are a BLAAST
